Michael was appointed by the governor of Maryland to the State Workers` Compensation Advisory Committee on Budget. His appointment was just confirmed by the Senate.

He is a council member to the Maryland State Bar Association's Negligence, Insurance & Workers' Compensation Section, and he is a member of the Legislative & Amicus Brief Committees of the Maryland Trial Lawyers' Association. In addition to these activities he is actively involved in the Bar Associations of Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert Counties. A graduate of the Washington and Lee University School of Law, Mr. Schreyer also contributes his time on the boards of directors of several community service organizations.
